For decades, DBQFest has been the crown jewel of Iowa’s arts festival scene, earning its reputation as the state’s longest-running celebration of creativity and craftsmanship. This year’s festival continues that proud tradition while showcasing the incredible talent that flourishes throughout the region.

Music That Moves the Soul
The soundtrack to your DBQFest experience comes courtesy of seven professional musical acts representing diverse genres and styles. This year’s lineup promises something for every musical taste, from the infectious rhythms of cumbia to the sophisticated sounds of jazz, and the intimate storytelling of singer-songwriters.
The weekend’s musical highlight arrives Saturday, August 2, from 4-6 PM, when headliners the Awful Purdies take the stage. Known for their energetic performances and crowd-pleasing repertoire, they’re sure to provide the perfect soundtrack for your festival experience.
Hands-On Creativity for All Ages
DBQFest isn’t just about observing art—it’s about creating it. The festival’s interactive elements ensure that visitors of all ages can tap into their own creative potential:

Community dance lessons invite everyone to learn new moves and connect with fellow festival-goers through the universal language of movement.
